Dubai: Celebrating the spirit of women’s empowerment on Emirati Women’s Day, the Nexis UAE W Icon Award 2025 was presented to Kala Harikumar for her outstanding contributions to arts, sports, and community service in both the UAE and India. The award was received on her behalf by her daughter, Dr. Lakshmi, at a prestigious ceremony held at Falak Tayyeb Platinum, Dubai.

Kala Harikumar serves as the Director of Krishnakala Institute and Manager at UPC, part of the Elite Group. A renowned classical dancer and sportsperson, her recognition comes as a tribute to her active involvement in cultural and social development initiatives.
The event was jointly organized by Adam Royal Entertainment, part of the UK House of Adam Entertainment, in association with Nexis Metaverse. Falak Tayyeb Platinum served as the Venue Partner, and Chikara Global participated as the Associate Partner.

The awards ceremony honored 26 women leaders from various sectors including industry, healthcare, technology, culture, diplomacy, entrepreneurship, and community development, making it a historic moment in the ongoing journey of women’s empowerment in the UAE.
